FAQ

Questions hotels ask.

Short answers about the three services and how we would work together. If yours is not here, ask me directly.

Getting started

Who do you work with?

Independent and boutique hotels, and small owner-run groups. I work directly with owners and general managers, in English, Italian or Spanish.

Is my property too small for revenue management?

Usually not. A 30-room hotel open all year has almost 11,000 room nights to sell, so small improvements in how they are priced add up quickly.

What changes with size is the form it takes. A smaller property rarely needs a full-time revenue manager, which is exactly what The Revenue Desk is for.

What is the difference between the three services?

Revenue & Profitability Consulting is one defined project with a clear start and finish. The Revenue Desk is ongoing revenue management, handled week to week. Documentation & SOWs gives your team the written processes it works from.

You can take any one of them on its own, and change as your property grows.

Revenue & Profitability Consulting

What kind of projects do you take on?

Revenue management system consultation, setup and configuration; pricing and market segmentation reviews; cost-management strategies to protect profit; full revenue audits; and AI Readiness Assessments, showing how ready your systems, data and team are to use AI. Each project has a clear scope and ends with an outcome you can put to work straight away.

Do I need a revenue management system?

Not always. It depends on your size, how your demand moves and who will use it. I will give you an honest view first. If a system makes sense, I help you choose it, set it up and configure it, so your team uses it with confidence.

What does a revenue audit cover?

A full review of how your property sells its rooms today: pricing, market segments, channels and what they cost you, and how decisions get made. You receive a written report with clear priorities.

The Revenue Desk

What does The Revenue Desk include?

Weekly pricing and forecasting, oversight of your distribution and channels, and regular performance reviews, with one point of contact who is accountable to you.

How is it different from hiring a revenue manager?

You get the expertise of a full-time revenue manager, handled week to week, without the cost of a full-time role. And it is the same person every week, someone who knows your property.

Will you work with the systems I already use?

Yes. I work with your property management system, channel manager and booking engine, and with your revenue management system if you have one. Nothing needs to change before we start.

Documentation & SOWs

What documentation can you write?

Operational SOWs, process and policy documentation, revenue playbooks and training material, written in clear and consistent language your team can follow.

Why have revenue processes written down?

So the work does not depend on one person. When someone is away or leaves, the next person can pick it up and the hotel keeps pricing and selling the same way.

Working together

How does working together start?

With a short call about your property. If there is a fit, you receive a written scope and fee before any work begins.

How are fees set?

Projects and documentation are quoted as a fixed fee. The Revenue Desk is a monthly fee. Scope and fee are always agreed in writing first.

Do you work remotely or on site?

Mostly remotely, with visits to the property when they add value.

What do you need from my hotel?

To start, very little. Ongoing work needs read access to your booking and revenue reports, agreed in writing under a data processing agreement.
